Well here we are all these months later and we are still struggling to lead normal lives. The kids are super resilient, they are doing much better than we are that's for sure. Well I should say that they are doing better than me. I think Ricky is fine, although he misses stuff his schedule is more so the same work, work and more work. He has taken time off from time to time, but maintains his schedule. I have been home with the kids doing a horrible job at playing teacher. I can not for the life of me get that part together, just kidding I can't get anything together. Okay well here goes the information on my boys. Thanksgiving was nice we spent it with my family at my Moms house. She cooked and I was still recovering from surgery so I took a charcuterie board which everyone loved. Spending time with family is the best, even if there are differences in opinions or what not coming together and being together is soothing to the soul. Christmas was kind of funny, we were at home just Ricky the kids and I eating dinner when my Mom called and was super bummed we were not there once we hung up Ricky said "Let's just go" and so we did. We literally finished dinner, opened up gifts packed and headed out. we barely made it before midnight on Christmas day. New years we spent two days in the snow with my brother and two days in the desert with family and friends. Although I missed ringing in the new year with my whole family the desert is my second favorite place to be. There were fireworks, food, friends and a big old fire. We took our Christmas tree and man did that thing burn quick. The kids had fun climbing the rocks and running around. It was nice to come home and relax, the holidays are usually pretty busy and crazy. Being home to rest and recover is also one of my favorite things to do. I'll post pics at a later time of our adventures. For now, I hope and pray that we get through this time and somehow that it makes us better people.
Today was super fun it was Damian's first school trip and it was so much fun, and best part was being able to go on the trip with him.We went to Boulder Creek Ranch (pumpkin patch) I have to confess I'm such a big baby as we boarded the bus and were driving off I had to hold tears back, it just made me realize how fast my boys are growing. I can't believe he is going to be five next month. To see him being able to do stuff on his own and watch him have conversations with his friends is amazing. He is not a little baby anymore. (tear) Anyways, back to the trip he got to pick a very cute pumpkin and he tasted roasted pumpkin seeds, he also got to go on a hay ride and check out all the cool (smelly) horses, donkeys, chickens, goats and cats (weird huh). We ended the trip with lunch on the grass then back on the bus and off to school. Julian and Jacob stayed with "Tia Monica", a true godsend that cousin of mine! They had tons of fun playing with their new cat "He...
